The question of when new equipment and new refrigerants will arrive is over, as Daikin North America has begun selling R-32 systems in the United States. To help the U.S. market transition to the next generation of equipment and Low GWP Refrigerants, the Daikin Technical Training Team will be hosting several classes during the HVAC Excellence National HVACR Education Conference, including a hands-on course on R-32 ductless systems.

The R-32 Ductless Installation & Startup Session will be offered on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM as part of the all-star lineup of sessions during the conference. This hands-on class will address every aspect of the installation and startup procedures of an R-32 ductless system from beginning to end.

The HFC phasedown which includes R-410A has been successfully implemented globally. With over 160 million R-32 systems sold, in over 100 countries since 2012, the United States now joins this transition to Low GWP Refrigerants and Equipment. The U.S. transition to new equipment and new refrigerants means the HVACR workforce needs to understand the differences in the next generation of equipment. Failure to do so, will leave HVACR programs and professionals behind the curve.

Daikin has chosen to offer this hands-on class, and several others as part of the HVAC Excellence Conference. The conference will offer an array of classes on the next generation of refrigerants and equipment. Sessions will be conducted by industry leading professionals, representing the Safe Refrigerant Transition Task Force “SRTTF” including AHRI, Chemours, Daikin, ESCO Institute, and Honeywell.

In addition to learning about the next generation of equipment, the event will offer seventy plus sessions on emerging technologies, teaching methodologies, regulatory updates, and much more. Presenters provide first-hand information, direct from the source about the changes you need to know to remain current and relevant in our ever-changing industry.
